Usefulness of haemostatic net „Oxidised cellulose" ethicon management of renal parenchyma after transverse amputation of renal pole. - Part II. Preliminary clinical evaluation

summary

The authors report early results of 15 operations of transverse amputations of the renal pole. For Control of parenchymal bleeding from the surface left after amputation of the renal pole haemostatic net "Oxidised cellulose" Ethicon was used. Early results of these operations were compared with the results of 90 wedge resections performed earlier. In each case effective haemostatis was obtained with the haemostatic net and no early complications were observed. In view of this the authors evaluate favourably this method and continue its use.
