summary
- Introduction. One of the complications of transurethral surgery is bladder wall injury. The classical method of intraperitoneal perforation repair comprises suturing in open surgery. In this case the authors used a laparoscopic technique.
- Objective. To present our own experience of laparoscopic repair of iatrogenic bladder perforation.
- Material and methods. There were 3 cases of intraperitoneal bladder perforation. Each one was a tumor resection complication. The mean age of patients was 64 years. Details of the surgical technique are presented.
- Results. Operation time ranged from 25 to 40 min. There were no complications in the middle of laparoscopy or in the postoperative period. Hospitalization averaged 4 days. The time of recovery amounted to 12 days.
- Conclusion. Laparoscopic repair of iatrogenic bladder perforation is valuable alternative to open surgery.
