summary

Out of 56 patients with megaureters in 52 (93%) good result have been achieved
after ureteral folding procedure. In 4 cases complications occured (2 stictures and 2
refluxes). Dilatation of ureters, hydronephrotic changes, plasma urea and creatinine
levels were significantly reduced. Improvement of creatinine clearance and renal cortical
index after operation had been achieved.
