summary
- Patients referred as emergency cases to urological hospitals departments seve-ral times were analysed. The group comprised 1873 patients receving help during emergency care duties of the Department of Urology, Medical Academy in Cracow in 1983. The analysis showed that these referrals were caused in a Considerable proportion of cases by long waiting for radiological examination or by chronic course of the disease. It seems necessary to raise to a higher level the radiological diagnostic facilities accesible to patients from regional outpatient clinics and to improve the organization of care of chronically ill patients.
