summary

The results of microscopic fexiamii:naitions of biapsy imaiterial obtained by the methods Tru-Cut, PCI and TUR were compared. For clinical purposes the PCI method (transrectal thin needle prostatic puncture was most useful with about 85.>0*/o of pasitive results. Addiłionally performed transurethral resection of the prostate (TUR) in patients with urinary retention and very acute dysurią and persistent round-the-clock pollakiuria, and in those in whom PCI failed to con-firm the presence of neoplasm may naise the pnopoiitdon of positive results which in both these methods increased pairallelly with inicreasing group of clinical pro-gressioin of the tumów.
