summary
- The authors describe a case of periurethral cyst in a woman aged 48 years causing pains during miction and tenderness when the urethra was palpated from the vestibule.
- Despite these rather typical signs the patient had been treated for many years unsuccessfully. Cooperative examination of the patient by an urologist and a gynaecologist, for the first time in her disease, led finally to establishing of correct diagnosis.
- The authors suggest that in difficult cases such consultative examinations should be carried out really simultaneously by these specialists.
