summary

In a group of 50 patients with prostatic adenoma or carcinoma it was tried to compare the agreement of USG diagnosis and palpation examination through the rectum and histological examination of tissues obtained by transurethral elec­troresection. USG examination agreed in 88.9% of cases with the results of histo­logical examination in cases of carcinoma, while an agreement with the result of rectal examination was observed in only 44.% of cases.
