Spontaneous kidney rupture is a rare complication of both neoplastic and non-neoplastic kidney diseases. A case of spontaneous rupture of kidney tumor in 75 years old female, described by the authors, was also the first symptom of kidney cancer and the life threatening condition due to the accompanying massive retroperitoneal hemorrhage. Despite locally advanced disease, recurrence has not been detected throughout the year following surgery.
