summary

From 1988 to 1991 58 patients with partial or complete staghorn calculi were treated by
Wolf Piezolith 2300 Lithotriptor at Yorkshire Lithotriptor Center in Leeds.
12 months from the commencement of ESWL monotherapy 76,6% kidneys were stone
free. Average number of ESWL Sessions was 6,5 per kidney. Average duration of treatment was
5,5 mounths. ESWL monotherapy by Piezolith 2300 under Double J Protection for staghorn
calculi is effective with low risk procedure.
