summary

The authors discuss the techni±ue of transverse incision of the ureter for re-moval of stone and stress the superiority of this method in relation to longitudinal incision. In the light of an analysis of 42 cases treated by longitudinal incision and 28 cases of transverse incision the transverse incision gave better results. No complications after transverse incision were observed.
