summary

The paper discusses the usefulness of uroflowmetry in diagnosing urethral stricture. Presented are own studies of 44 patients with urethral stricture operated in the Urology Department of the Medical Academy in Łódź. The obtained results of uroflowmetric examinations are comparable to the results of urethrography and urethroscopy. Uroflowmetry is a valuable non-invasive examination which enables evaluation of resistence in the urethra and is of high value for monitoring urethral sticture patients after surgery.
