summary

Results of palliative treatment of bladder carcinoma with 5-fluorouracil are reported. In 33.3% of treated patients a transient impro-vement was obtained and in 3 patients the good result of treatment was confirmed by Control cystoscopy. The mean duration of remission was 11.2 months. In only one case persistent leucopenia caused withdrawal of treatment.
