summary

Lichen Sclerosus et Atrophicus (LSA) is a connective tissue disease which often appears on genital mucosae. Lessions may coexist with local and systemic malignancy. They may also cause phimosis and other urine flow disturbances in men, therefore some patients must be circumcised. It is hard to diagnose LSA, especially in those cases coexsisting with diabetes mellitus. In our article we would like to report on three cases, where diagnosis of LSA was done only after pathologic examination of removed praepuce. Therefore, we suggest that histopathology should be done in cases of phimosis and praeputial sclerosis of unknown origin.
