summary

Postoperative bleeding. urinary fistulae and infeetions are fairly freąuent complications of classical polar wedge resection on the kidney. The use of transverse polar resection by the

method of D. F. Williams permitted these complications to have been avoided in 11 cases. The method is easy and time sparing.
