summary

The patient aged 64 was presented with the symptoms of epididymitis and impaired
voiding. After standard antibiotic treatment enlargement of his right testis persists and
because the ultrasound examination revealed changes in the testis he was qualified to
scrotal orchidectomy and trans-vesical adenomectomy. During the operation testis
apeared to be infiltrated by a tumor arising from the hilum of the testis. On
histopathology evaluation the tumor was found to be carcinoma of rete testis. The
patient was then closely followed up for over three years without any signs of recurrence.
