summary

The expression of the blood group isoantigens ABH in 97 patients with yarious
stages of bladder cancer was analysed. 32% of ABH positiveand 83% of ABH negative
patients died during 3-years observation. In the group of 30 patients with superficial
bladder cancer (pTa-1) recurrences and progression were analysed. 19% of recurrents
and 5% of progression was found in ABH positive patients. In the ABH negative
patients 67% recurrents and 78% progression occurred.
