summary

A group of 62 patients underwent the examination of the size of prostatic adenoma by means of two-dimensional ultrasonography rectal probe. The results obtained were then compared with the size of adenomas removed surgically. The correlation index appeared to be very high (r=0.97). The determination error was from 4.11% to 8,7%. The method described is a precise techniąue of evaluating the size of prostatic adenoma.
