summary

The authors measured intrapelvic pressure in 20 patients early after plastic operation for hydronephrosis by the method of Kiiss. In 10 cases raised values of this pressure were found indicating intermittent impairment of the patency of the pyeloureterostomy. The authors think that during the operation for hydronephros it would be useful to create nephrostomy if the principles outlined in the paper are observed.
