summary

The author discusses late surgical results in reconstructive operations for crea­tion of pyeloureterostomy by the method of Hynes and Anderson in 50 own cases of hydronephros caused by obstacles in the pyeloureteral junction. It is concluded that the method of Hynes and Anderson is valuable and can be used with success in most cases of hydronephros caused by stenosis of the pyeloureteral junction or additional blood vessel. The method permits also the additional vessel to be Sipared. In most cases urine diversion is not necessary after the operation similarly as leaving of catheter in the ureter. Good results are obtained in 90% of cases.
