Objectives.

The aim of the present study is to analyse the data of patients treated by TURBT, and estimate the rate of concordance between the clinical and pathological stage in series of patients subjected to radical cystectomy.

Material and methods.

Data of patients who were treated by TURBT and who were subjected to radical cystectomy from 1st January 2005 to 31st December 2006 were analysed retrospectively. 149 patients with primary tumor were subjected to TURBT. 36 radical cystectomies were performed in this time.

Results.

Among the patients who were subjected to TURBT we found: TCC (Transitional cell carcinoma), SCC (Squamous cell carcinoma), and AdC (Adenocarcinoma) in 145(97,3%), 3(2%) and 1(0,7%) patients respectively.

Conclusions.

TCC was occured in 97.3% of newly diagnosed blader tumors. High grade carcinoma (G3) was detected in 34% of cases. Under staging of bladder cancer (cT
