summary

Renal cell carcinoma is a rare malignant tumor in childhood and adolescence. It may be misdiagnosed as nephroblastoma during the diagnostic procedure; improper therapy consequently would be introduced. The case of renal cell carcinoma in 14-years old boy is presented. Symptoms, diagnostic and therapeutic procedure are described. The authors stress that there is no special protocol of the management of renal cancer in childhood or adolescence.
