Cystectomy with
urinary diversion into Sigmoid Colon in high risk Patients with urinary Bladder cancer

- Results of 25 patients with advanced carcinoma of the urinary bladder treated with
- cystectomy and urinary diversion into sigmoid colon were presented. Observed morbidity was
- discussed. Analysis of survival showed that 40% of the patients survived 2 years after operation,
- but only 8°o survived 3 years.
- Cystectomy with urinary diversion into sigmoid colon in spite of known negative side
- effects of such diversion, in selected cases improves ±uality of life of the patient
