Objective. Long term results of Indiana continent urinary reservoir. Patients and
method: in 25 patients Indiana continent urinary reservoir was performed. In 22 patients
Indiana pouch was constructed after radical cystectomy due to bladder cancer. In 3 patients
conversion from ileal conduit to Indiana pouch was performed.
Results. During the observation time from 19 to 87 months (mean 45 months) 9 patients
36%
Complications occurred in 10 patients, in 7 (28%) related to pouch and in 3 (12%) not
related to pouch. All alive patients are continent and run normal active life.
Conclusion. Indiana continent urinary reservoir meets all criteria for a satisfactory
continent cutaneous urinary reservoir.
