Primary malignant lymphoma of the testis

Eleven patients with primary malignant lymphoma of the testis were reviewed. The

mean age at diagnosis was 57 years (47-66). The most common complaint of the patient

was painless testicular swelling mean 5 months in duration. Of the 11 patient 7 died of

disseminated lymphoma, within mean 34 months post-orchidectomy. The most common

side of the dessemination were retroperitoneal lymph nodes. 4 patients are alive and

well, with no signs of progression. 4 patients (36%) survived 5 years, all of them had

low grade lymphoma.
