TREATMENT OF FEMALE URINARY STRESS INCONTINENCE WITH BLADDER-NECK SUSPENSION PLASTY ACCORDING TO ZOEDLER

summary

The report is based on a 14-year observation of 182 women with urinary stress
incontinence treated with bladder-neck suspension piasty according to Zoedler using the nylon
sling. 83,0% of the patients were continent till 3 years postoperatively. Longterm follow-up
however showed a continous decrease of success rate in the first 5 postoperative years. From the
5th postoperative year there was a stable continencerate of 34)8%. The most common
complications were infection, bleeding and urinary retention.
