summary

A female patient is reported with bilateral renoureteral urolithiasis with anuria as the presenting sign. The metabolic cause of urolithiasis was distal complete tubular acidosis. The correct diagnosis of the metabolic cause of acidosis and its complex surgical treatment with endoscopy made possible controlling this life--threatening situation but could not prevent recurrences of urolithiasis.
