INTRAVESICAL INSTILLATION OF ADRIBLASTINE IN PREVENTION OF RECURRENCES OF BLADDER PAPILLOMAS AND CARCINOMA (Tl) AFTER TRANSURETHRAL ELECTRORESECTION

summary

Own experiences are reported with intravesieal instillation of adriblastine for prevention of recurrences of papillomas and superficial carcinomas of the bladder (Tl, G2) after transurethral electroresection of the tumour. The drug was given to 37 patients, some of whom have been followed up for 4 years. The best results with a sixfold reduction of the frequency of recurrences were obtained in the group of vesical papilloma.
In relation to other reports the proportion of unfavourable side effects was due to the fact that instillations were started not earlier than 7?10 days after electroresection.
