summary

After remov,ing the upper segment of the kidney in cases of ectopic ureterocele associated with double ureter there arises sometimes the necessity of removing the ureterocele with the ureteral stump connected with it. Separation of the stump from the other ureter draining the lower part of the kidney is associated with a risk of injury. An original method of transcystic removal of ureterocele with the mucosa lining the ureteral stump is suggested. This method eliminates the danger of damage to the remaining ureter. Late results in 6 children were good.
