- The assessment of the ora³ preparation from the group of cephalosporlns ? cefadroxil (Duricef) was based on the treatment of 33 patients with urinary tract infection*. Urine sterilization was achieved in 19 cases after 10 days of treatment. Reeurrence of infection develoiped in 4 cases. In 6 cases urine sterilization was not obtained but they had urinary tract changes favouring the development of infections. Duricef was well tolerated by the patients and effective in the treatment of urinary tract infections caused by bacteria sensitive to this drug.
