summary

The assessment of the ora³ preparation from the group of cephalosporlns ? cefadroxil (Duricef) was based on the treatment of 33 patients with urinary tract infection*. Urine sterilization was achieved in 19 cases after 10 days of treatment. Reeurrence of infection develoiped in 4 cases. In 6 cases urine sterilization was not obtained but they had urinary tract changes favouring the development of infections. Duricef was well tolerated by the patients and effective in the treat­ment of urinary tract infections caused by bacteria sensitive to this drug.
