summary

Ten years after removal of one testicle for seminoma at the age of 21 years a neoplasm developed in the second testicle. Four years after removal of the tes­ticle and excision of a metastatic tumour from the mesentery (embryonal carci­noma) as well as after removal of retroperitoneal lymph nodes and chemothera-py lasting 3 years the patient is without any eYidence of recurreat tumour. The authors discuss these observations and reyiew the pertinent literaturę.
