OWN MODIFICATION OF NEUGEBAUER-LE FORT'S OPERATION IN THE TREATMENT OF URETHROVAGINAL FISTULAS

Objective. The authors described treatment of urethrovaginal fistulas

by means of the modified Neugebauer-Le Forfs operation.

Material and method. There were operated, in two Sessions, six women

because of urethrovaginal fistulas. In the first session the urtherovaginal fistu-

la was excised and urethra closed. After longitudinal incision of vaginal po-

sterior wall the margins of the posterior and anterior vaginal wall were sutu-

red. Suprapubic puncture cystostomy was also done during the first session.

After 6-8 weeks anterior and posterior vaginal wall was divided.

Results. Every operated women were treated with success.

Conclusion. Modified Neugebauer-Le Fort's operation is recommend-

able in cases of urethrovaginal fistulas.
