summary

The effect of neurotensin on the motor function of the renal pelvis and ure­ters was studied in dogs under general anaesthesia. The method of potential re-cording with a Beckman R-611. recorded was applied using monopolar electrodes. The serum neurotensin level was determined as well. The administration of phar­macological doses of neurotensin was followed by a rise in the number of action potentials in the pelvis and ureter. These results suggest a smali physiological role of neurotensin in the regulation of the motor activity of the ureter. The effect of the pharmacological doses of the Preparation may be used for clinical purposes.
