summary

The authors report heir investigations in a group of 717 farm workers and 299 fishermen on the prevalence of nephrolithiasis. A significant correlation was obseryed between the incidence of this disease and the degree of hardness of drinking water. Patients with nephrolithiasis had usually a monotonous diet con-sisting mainly of milk and dairy products.
