summary

11 patients treated operatively have been examined and HPV has been proved to be an
important factor in penis cancer. Clinical examination methods have been discussed with
Particular stress on virusological investigations which promoted saving operative treatment of
patients with HPV.
Thus authors suggest applying virusological investigation as well as cooperation with
ginecologists in diagnosing penis cancer. This may lead to early diagnosis of cancer lesions in
sexual partners.
