CLINICAL FVALUATION OF THE URO-VAXOM PREPARATION IN THE TREATMENT OF RECURRENT URINARY TRACT INFECTION

- The assessment is presented of the usefulness of the Uro-Vaxom Preparation in the treatment of recurrent urinary tract infection due to E. coll. Sixty patients were studied (40 of them were treated with the Preparation) and 20 served as controls. The analysis of the clinical results demonstrated that Uro-Vaxom reduced the number of recurrences of infection, limited the necessity of using dis-iniectants, and in all patients after 12 months of treatment urine cultures were negative. The Preparation was well tolerated and caused no significant side effects.
