- Two patients are described with renal failure caused by prostatic adenoma. The clinical course was oligosymptomatic, and only nocturia occurred. Repeated palpation of the prostate through the rectum failed to suggest the gland as a cause of difficulties in bladder voiding. In both cases USG examination demonstrated hypertrophy of the middle lobe of the prostate with hydronephros
