summary
- Aim of work. Two cases of complications after kidney transplantation treated
- operatively are presented. Stricture of uretero-vesical anastomosis was
- replaced by re-implantation of the ureter into the bladder by Boeminghaus
- method. In the second case necrotic fragment of the ureter was replaced by a
- flap formed from the bladder wall by Boari method.
- Material and methods. Thirty-seven patients after kidney transplantation were
- included. Among them in 2 cases there were complications within the
- anastomosis between the ureter of the donor and the bladder of the recipient.
- In J. P. (case history number 6812/1971) extensive cicatrical lesions in the area
- of anastomosis formed, and in patient K. M. the peripheral fragment of the
- ureter was necrotic (case history number 6501/1985). Cicatrical fragment of
- the ureter was removed and regenerated end if the ureter was re-implanted
- into the bladder wall. Similarly, the necrotic fragment of the ureter was removed
- and the end of the ureter was anastomosed with the bladder wall, after
- reconstruction with a flap from a bladder wall by Boari method. In both cases
- internal drainage of the anastomosis by a ?double J" catheter was used.
- Results. In both presented cases urinary retention in the pyelocalyceal system
- was resolved and the stricture of the uretero-vesical anastomosis in the
- transplanted kidney was repaired surgically.
