bladder neurogenic disfunction subvesical obstacle sphincterotomy
summary
- Objective. The value of extended sphincterotomy in the treatment of
- neurogenic disfunction of the lower urinary tract was evaluated.
- Materials and method. 25 patients with neurogenic disfunction of the lower uri-
- nary tract after spinal cord injury were treated endoscopically by extended sphincte-
- rotomy.
- Results. Ou of 25 patients in 88% (22 patients) good results were obtained. In
- 12% (3 patients) no improvement have been found.
- Conclusions. Extended sphincterotomy is the method to be recommend in pa-
- tients with neurogenic disfunction of the lower urinary tract after unsucceful conse-
- rvative therapy.
