The analysis of the relationship between the number of eosinophilic granulocytes in urine sedi-

ment and the postoperative course in patients treated due to BPH, was made. In 441 cases among 492

patients treated in Clinic of Urology of Medical Academy in Bydgoszcz in years 1990-1992 due BPH,

numerous eosinephilic granulocytes were detected in urine sediment. In those patients the postopera-

tive course was more mild.
