summary

Twenty-two patients with bladder tumours were studied in whom intravital test were done with 0.l% methylene blue in 0.9% NaCl. The time of staining was one hour. The healthy bladder mucosa was not stained. The test was po-sitive in 20 patients. The intensity of tumour staining increased with increasing histological anaplasia of the tumour. These investigations seem to be worth of continuation since they may help in detection of poorly differentiated papillo-matous carcinoma, especially preinvasive.
