summary

The size of prostatic adenoma was determined ultrasonographically in 57 patients before the operation. The results of measurements were compared with endoscopic examination in which the size of the adenoma was assessed measuring the distance between the seminal colliculus and bladder neck. The results of both methods were similar showing that the methods may be used interchangeably.
