summary

The evaluation of the minipress drug (quinazoline derivative ? postsynaptic blocker of a1-adrenergic receptors) administered orally was performed on the grounds of therapy of 30 patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Four patients were excluded from the analysis due to intolerance of side effects, another four revealed symptoms of tolerance and transient side effects, the rest (22) tole­rated the drug well. The examinations confirmed high effectiveness of the drug, which in many patients may be an alternative to surgery of BPH Minipress is in the authors' opinion especially recommended for patients with hypertension or having upper normal range of arterial blood tension (RR).
