summary

The article presents a patient with an additional kidney. The defect became manifest when the patient was 60. The reason for its disclosure was hydronephro­sis of the kidney discussed. It was first diagnosed falsely as renal cyst, then hydro­nephrosis of the lower segment of the double kidney, finally, the diagnosis was made during an operation. The kidney was removed.
