summary

The authors made a retrospective analysis of a group of 436 patients with transcellular carcinoma in the urinary bladder. It was found that the percentage of sick persons with respective blood groups in Comparison with healthy persons was similar. No statistically significant relationship was found between the blood group antigen and the level of histological malignancy of the neoplasm. The authors found, however, that most fre±uently, the transcellular carcinoma of the urinary bladder occurs among persons aged from 51 to 80 years (86.5% of all neoplasms). The older the patients were, the more malignant was the neoplasm. The highest degree of neoplasm malignancy was found in the age group of 71?80 years.
