summary

In 11 patients with papillomas of the bladder prolonged maintenance of high hydrostatic pressure in the bladder was used for treatment using a catheter with a rubber baloon. In 4 cases the size of the lesions decreased, in 3 cases bladder rupture occurred re±uiring surgical intervention. The authors view critically the usefulness of this method in the treatment of bladder neoplasms.
